Skins are a way for players to customize not only the look and appearance of their player character, but some skins also grant special abilities or require dedication or extreme amounts of lock to unlock and use, so often the skin can be its own trophy. Showing everyone in the lobby who has the chops, or in some cases, the pocketbook, to get the newest and hottest skins for the games they play. Some games, like Among Us, has different skins, but also pets, and even hats that can be obtained and worn separately.
Fortnite is well into Chapter 2, and it is as hot as ever. Season 5 is no exception, with some of the best skins to date. There are a ton of new skins to earn and collect, and tons of extra cosmetics as well. Once you have unlocked all the style variants, make sure you unlock the additional Sapphire, Topaz, and Zero point variants for all skins on your Battle Pass. Let everyone in the lobby know that you not only earned the skins but you went the extra mile to level all the styles!

Snowmando is an Epic skin that is yet unreleased but may be planned for release during the Winterfest 2020 event since it does not appear to be available in the shop. It is part of the Snowdays set and may become available in the Item Shop following the Winterfest. Keep your eyes peeled for this frosty killer, once he’s gone, he’s gone, and you will not be able to get him back. Imagine the jealous lobbies when you get to sport this bad boy in the middle of summer! They’ll be kicking themselves that they didn’t unlock him during the winter event. This is one for the completionist’s hall of fame, for sure.
One of the toons seen in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 trailer holding a mystery SMG, Reese is a skin that players can get by hitting just level 15 on their Battle Pass. She comes with her Epic emote called “Boomin’”, a glider name “Hunter’s Skyblade”, and her pickaxe is called the “Ne’Jari Warhammer” in the Battle Pass. Once you hit level 22 in the Battle Pass, you can get an additional style edit called “Nebula Racer”. Don’t stop there, make sure you unlock Sapphire Reese at 110, Topaz Reese at 160, and Zero Point Reese at 205.
The Mancake is a man-sized stack of pancakes, with butter bars in his bandolier. Part of the Breakfast Bandit Set, he comes from a wild west themed reality and is a food mascot. You get Mancake at Battle Pass level 36 and comes with both the Cake with No Name and the Dark Deeds styles. There is also a Sapphire Mancake at level 120, Topaz Mancake at level 170, and Zero Point Mancake at level 210. He can be traded for around 1225 gold bars.
An incredibly fierce galactic barbarian, Mave is available as a playable skin and she comes with additional accessories as well. Her glider is known as “Eagle’s Form”, her pickaxe is the “Harpy’s Claw”, and she’s even got some Epic bling in the form of her “Wildheart Buckler”.
You can unlock four different style edits for Mave, and they come at Battle Pass level 43, for a reactive hairstyle, level 45 for the Unstoppable style, and her tail unlocks at level 51. The big highlight of this skin set, however, is the Battle Pass level 53 style called Mave Shieldbreaker. Just stunning!
Kondor is an Epic skin from the Spirit of Vengence set, with a built-in emote called “Vengeful Wish” that turns in into a style called Unshackled. Unshackled can also be unlocked at Battle Pass level 66. There is also a Wrath style available after 40 Epic quests, along with a Sapphire style at level 140, Topaz style at level 190, and Zero Point style at Battle Pass level 220. The Kondor outfit can also be purchased for 950 V-Bucks.
Galaxia is a Legendary skin that can only be obtained by becoming a Fortnite Crew member during the month of December in 2020. It is bundled with the Cosmic Llamacorn tool and the Fractured World back-bling. This skin can be purchased for $11.99. This skin features the same visual effect as the Galaxy and Galaxy Scout outfits, and it will become unavailable after January 2021.
The protagonist of the God of War franchise is making his Fornite debut in Season 5 of Chapter 2. He is part of the Gaming Legends Series and can be unlocked in the shop for 1500 V-Bucks for just the skin, for 2200 V-Bucks for the Kratos Bundle which contains additional character cosmetics. You get the Guardian Shield, The Leviathan Axe, Mimir back-bling, and Freezing Burst emote. Not only is this the first Gaming Legends emote to be introduced, but it is also the first built-in emote for a harvesting tool.
Everyone’s favorite “Fortnite Anime Girl”, Lexa is incredibly popular with the Fortnite community. This was natural since the community had been asking for an anime-themed skin for what seems like an eternity. Bringing in Lexa also creates future opportunities for Fortnite anime collabs.
Lexa’s found at Hunter’s Haven as an NPC originally. She has the Exotic Storm Scout Sniper Rifle that players can buy with gold bars. If you have a Battle Pass, you can unlock Lexa at level 73, or you can buy the Crew Monthly subscription pack. The Hunters Protocol style can even be unlocked at Battle Pass level 79. Lexa has a Warstrike style that you can get by completing the Season 5 Epic Quests.
As one of the fearsome representative Colossal Colosseum Gladiators, Menace is one of the most sought-after skins in Fortnite. You can unlock this Legendary skin by hitting the Battle Pass level 83. You can also get a style edit Gladiator Mask right around the corner at Battle Pass level 85. The Victor’s Flail is the harvesting tool of Menace, which you get at level 87 of the Battle Pass, his Light Helmet Plume style at level 92, and the Legendary Menace style Undefeated at level 94.
This outer system bounty hunter is a Tier 1 skin. This outfit can also be purchased from the Battle Pass and the Crew Monthly subscription packs. This is also the only skin for a character with a mythic weapon. Turn the tables, and hunt him down at the Razer Crest landmark to the south of Colossal Colosseum.
Once you defeat The Mandalorian, you will not only acquire the mythic Amban Sniper Rifle, but you will get a mythic jetpack as well! In addition to the skin, weapon, and jetpack, you can even score additional Beskar Armor pieces by running the Beskar Armor Quest and another Legendary Quest. You can even unlock the Baby Yoda pet by hitting level 99 on your battle pass.

Whether you are in it to look good while getting that “Victory Royale” banner, or if you are just a completionist who needs to finish every quest and unlock every extra and item, Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 5 will have plenty for you to wear, and to do.
Make sure you get that Battle Pass and stay connected, or be ready to shell out some big V-Bucks for those extras though. With some of the precious gem variants requiring you to surpass level 100 and even 200 for the most prized skin styles, you will certainly have your work cut out for you. You need to be dedicated to get them all, or you need to pay for the shortcut!
